Hiraku Okada received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Information Electronics Engineering from Nagoya University, Japan in 1995, 1997 and 1999, respectively. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. He was an Assistant Professor at Nagoya University from 2000 to 2006, an Associate Professor at Niigata University from 2006 to 2009, and an Associate Professor at Saitama University from 2009 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been an Associate Professor at Nagoya University. His current research interests include wireless communication systems, wireless networks, inter-vehicle communications, and visible light communication systems. He received the Inose Science Award in 1996, the IEICE Young Engineer Award in 1998, and the IEICE Communications Society ComEX Best Letter Award in 2014. Dr. Okada is a member of IEEE, ACM and IEICE.
